Yesterday we had a call for a quick and easy little water softener fix, so we cruised by today, late morning, and found a bevy of problems awaiting, so the mechanical room overhaul will have to wait until next week. Afterward, we went into town to buy some chiles, opting for Socorro rather than Hatch:
We then had lunch (and margaritas!) at Maria's with Sean and Angie and headed back to Eldo. Stuffed. I bided my time and finally, around 7 or so, whipped up an arugula and basil leaf tossed in pomegranate/shallot vinaigrette salad with figs, goat cheese, and walnuts. Oh, and the Gewurz! So delicious. After polishing off the Trimach Gewurztraminer (seriously: so good), we had to frolic in the second bottle of sweet happiness that is Villa Alena Moscato. Going to Vegas (The Veg, not Nevada) manana to indulge in Grandma's cooking and hospitality.
