2011-September-7: Day 23

Wed. Nez. Day. Installed a new water softener and called it a day. Went to Backroads for some pizza and pool and I was significantly better than embarrassingly terrible, so that was a bonus. After a few games, Sean, Pecos, and I heeded James' call and drove to this pool (water) place...thing. Anyway, James and Sam were playing pool (billiards) on a full size table (!) so we joined and raided the freezer for ice cream cones/sandwiches/popsicles/etc and Hot Pockets. A classy chowdown, for sure. Sean and I were keen to get our Casin on, so we took James, picked up Angie, and drove out to Buffalo Thunder, stumbling upon Kyle and Wes once in the arena. Anyway, Angie and I were new to Buffalo, so we joined the Player's Club and tried our chances at attaining some slot credits. They think themselves doubly clever when it comes to doling out the free bucks: you take your new card over to the digital kiosk and are presented with nine poker chips, each masking a dollar amount between five and five-hundred. We of course both chose the five-dollar chip. A-holes. We were both having luck, though, and I think I came away with seven bucks; Sean and Angie, meanwhile, got hooked on this "All That Glitters" slot and, though being up some duckets, each ended up blowing their ten-dollar fortunes in the hunt of jewels. So we bounced, did some liquor hunting (prices in NM are not competitive!), headed back to Angie's house, and pretty much went to sleep. Trabajo en la manana.
