2011-September-8: Day 24

Woke up at 8, Sean and I skedaddled up to the Hoovers and set to work on a fake log burner in the outdoor fireplace. We then got an emergency call out in Las Campanas; Dad and I quickly ran out and back, then continued the indoor work: removing a fan/light/heater in order to replace it with a bigger and badder one. Of course, the electrical innards were not up to snuff (or code, for that matter), so we had to do some pondering, bring in an electrical expert (hi Uncle Donnie!) and leave it for next week. Adieu, Bud n Barbara. Went to Second Street (Railyard), met up with the rest of the gang, plus some, and had quite a little shindig. Pleasure meeting you, Tom, your ride across the U.S. sounds awesome and thanks for the resource! Pleasure seeing Joey again. Enjoy the growler Sara and Anton. And Zozobra. Zozobra is a hip thing, if you don't know what it is, look it up. I decided not to attend, but it was a close decision. Too many youngsterz...
