Sunday, September 11th. I was in NYC for 9/11 '08 and it was very positive and very tasty. It is sad that the plane hijackings/crashes happened, as it is sad millions of other similar events have happened and continue to happen. Sean, Angie, and I went down to Grandma Dora and Grandpa Bernie's around 2, and obviously had super crazy delicious food. Muchas gracias, abuelos! Tambien, gracias por la sociedad, jugando tarjetas fue divertido. Y muchas, muchas gracias por el San Cristobal!
Back in Santa Fe I opened up the Vouvray (Le Chateau) and was pleasantly surprised. We paired it with a little amuse busch plate of halved figs with goat cheese and drizzled balsamic vinegar. The wine was very good and only like 6 bucks at Trader Joe's.
